Connection with and the preservation of my Bulgarian heritage has always been something very important to me. The history, food, language, and traditions are close to my heart, and I aim to find any way possible to incorporate all that richness into my art and work as a designer. As Bulgarian-born, I feel the rhythm of our language and music in a very different way than I could any song in English. Pasha Hristova (1946 - 1971) was a young, renowned Bulgarian singer that my parents grew up listening to. She sadly passed away in an airplane crash in 1971, but this is an homage to her, her music, and her legacy as a legendary Bulgarian figure.
